Flag fall is 25 pesos for the first 500 meters, and 2 pesos for every 300 meters thereafter. Waiting time is 2 pesos for every two minutes. Be careful to give your exact destination and ensure the driver knows where it is. Check your change, counting it before leaving the taxi. If a taxi driver tries to set a charge for the journey before starting off, it will usually be excessive, so either insist that he use the meter or change taxis.
